MEASURE YOUR GLOVE SIZE CORRECTLY
The measurement must be made on your "directive hand", that is to say the right, if you are right-handed and on the left, if you are... left-handed. Simply do it with a tape measure and follow the steps:
You will find below the correspondence of measurements in French size
NOURISHING AND MAINTAINING YOUR GLOVES
The leathers used in our glove-making process are carefully treated during tanning. However, over time and with repeated use, gloves may dry out and require maintenance to restore their suppleness and shine. To keep them in prime condition, apply a small amount of leather care milk containing natural oils or, alternatively, a mild baby moisturizer using a soft cloth. Let dry, then buff gently to give your gloves a refreshed look.
REMOVING STAINS FROM DAILY USE
Certain leather shades, such as hazelnut and brown, naturally develop a patina over time, while others require regular cleaning to remove stains caused by sebum, dust, and pollution. To gently clean your gloves without damaging the leather, use a mild soap, preferably glycerin-based.
To clean them properly, apply a small amount of soap to a clean, damp cloth, rub gently, and then wipe with another slightly damp cloth to rinse. To maintain their shape, wear your gloves while they dry. Finally, nourish the leather with a specialized care milk to preserve its softness.
REMOVING GREASE STAINS FROM YOUR GLOVES
If your gloves come into contact with oil, grease, butter, makeup, or any other fatty substance, it is crucial to act quickly to prevent permanent stains. In such cases, terre de Sommières, a natural clay powder known for its highly absorbent properties, is an excellent solution.
For dry cleaning, sprinkle the stain generously with terre de Sommières, gently rub, and leave it to work for several hours—ideally overnight. Then, carefully remove the powder and repeat the process if necessary.
CLEANING SUEDE OR REVERSED LEATHER GLOVES
To care for leathers like suede or nubuck, use a clean crepe brush specially designed for these materials. Gently brush to maintain the texture and quality of the material. In case of grease stains, do not hesitate to use terre de Sommières, an excellent absorbent for such incidents.
COLOR TRANSFER
The transformation of premium lamb leather into our vibrant, unlined driving gloves is a meticulous process requiring expertise and passion. Since our gloves are made from natural hides, under certain extreme conditions (including temperature, humidity, dye batch variations, and skin chemistry), some color transfer to your hands may occur. Fortunately, this is rare, and the solution is simple: a little soap, some water—wash, rinse, and repeat if necessary.
